Meet Doug Miller

President, Director & Producer

Doug’s passion for creating professional and engaging video has deep seated roots that started way before Seventh Wave Films was founded. His interest in filmmaking and storytelling began as a kid watching every horror, sci-fi, comedy and suspense movie he could find on TV. He also spent a fair amount of time fending off his well-meaning parents that begged him to “go outside!”. His collection of silent films and endless reading and studying favorite film directors only added to his desire for the creative.

Never one to conform to expectations, Doug strayed from a “predetermined” career path and set out to explore his other passionate interest in travel and culture. The more different and challenging the culture, the more Doug was interested. His love for travel and seeing new places finally got Doug to “go outside!” disappearing for months at a time, with only postcards to let people know he was alive.

In 2005 Doug brought his interests for storytelling and adventure together and started Seventh Wave Films. Following many successful years in TV Film Advertising and freelance editing and directing, it was time for a new challenge, and he has never looked back. His deep desire to improve the client experience, and his dedication to creating the best work is evident as soon as he gets involved with a project. He is relentless in his mission to deliver powerful, high-quality work while maintaining a co-creative, fun, and energetic experience for his clients.
